How much can the average woman bench press for three sets of ten each?

I am really curious because I bench 185 for 3 sets of ten and someone told me that is freaky for a woman. I just thought it was because I have trained heavily for seven years, including the recent addition of interim kettlebell workouts. I have no idea what I could bench once as I am not a powerlifter in the sense of the one time big lift. Thanks!

  4. Ok, most women , unless they are like you, dont bench that much. Its rare in a common gym gym to see a woman doing over 150 on the bench. As for doing it in reps like you….Dang. I would like to see a pic of your arms and shoulders. 185 is not light for anybody regardless if they are male or female.

  6. You are strong. My max is 180! I am a dude 5’5′ 137. I usually do like 135-140 9 sets 3 decline 3 incline 3 regular reps of 10. I’d say the average woman couldn’t even do what I’m doing maybe bench below 125.
